Wonderful weekend on the Water

View from SantaMonica just off Slipping Sands in Moreton Bay
Just a short trip from home for the weekend making the most of the beautiful weather . Its been such a long time since we have seen lots of sun and blue skies.
Tenille has come to stay with us while her Mum and Dad "Erica and Dallas " are travelling round  USA. This is her second trip on the yacht and she has just settled in like an old pro sailor. She found a spot to settle down where she had a view of all the proceedings.

Sixth Birthday Card

Ryan is a big fan of Lego and when he turned 6 in January I came up with this card from a design I found this site  It is a site with lots of free designs which is very handy.
It was all made with Stampin' Up card stock and inks with the sentiment from the Wacky Wishes stamp set.

Apothecary Jar

I made this as a Christmas design from the SVG Cuts "Toil and Trouble Set."  It is really cute and the top comes off so the jar part can be filled with goodies . The pattern comes in a couple of sizes so would be handy for pressies.  I cut this with my Pazzles using the Sure Cuts a lot 3 programme

Sorell Tasmania House Sit 2

Back to Sorell in November 2013 to enjoy Tasmania in summer and catch up to Ronnie and all her family.  Ronnie's home was once the original Post Office for Sorell and has been converted into a beautiful heritage home with a garden full of roses and lavender. So pretty.
Time again to house sit the three little furries for another month "Great Fun"

I just love these three little cuties to death and could very easily put them in my bag and take home with me.  We had a wonderful time going for walks, sitting in the sun grooming and just having cuddles.  They really are the sweetest little dogs and so so loving.
Tasmania in summer is just beautiful and I love the place so I was really saddened to hear about the really bad bush fires near where I was staying and so devastating for the people of Dunnelly.
Ronnie has recently moved to her new home in Kingston so hope I will be able to visit her there again soon. I miss you all.

Wahroonga Sydney House Sit

September 2012 found me off to the beautiful suburb of Wahroonga in the Northern area of Sydney' for a month house sit for Debby and Martin, minding their lovely home and taking care of Fishy. . Wharoonga is a short train ride from Sydney and Horsby so there was lots to see and do.

Fishy was absolutely amazing.  A ten year old goldfish and as happy as can be just swimming round his little home on the kitchen bench where he was centre of attention.
Even though Fishy had a bit of a flotation problem and spent a lot of time head down and butt up or even upside down, a tickle on the tummy or a pea to eat had him splashing round the tank. Boy  did he love peas.
Debby and Martin's house backed on to a bush block and the bird life was incredible. King parrots, Rainbow Lorries, Cockatoos, Rosellas and pigeons all visited each day for a peck at some seed.
I spent many hours just sitting in the sun watching the birds it was just delightful.

New Beith House Sit

I have been so remiss in posting so are about to catch up.
In August - September 2012 I house sat for Karen and Scott in their beautiful home at New Beith Qld and had the pleasure of minding Greg and Lucy

Greg was great fun ,an eagle eye and very loving.  He just loved his Big and Little Ted toys but I think the ball was his favourite.
When Ryan came to visit he had a wonderful time playing soccer with Greg who was very skilled at the game and would have played all day if allowed.
Lucy is a beautiful torty who just loved to sleep up in the cupboard and when outside just worshipped the sun.  She was a little stand offish at first but soon came round and would cuddle up with me on the couch but as soon and night came she was off to her little cuddly  nest in the garage. So Cute.
Scott and Karen's house is in a rural setting with beautiful gardens and heaps of birds that would visit every day . The cockies where very demanding and reminded me very quickly if I hadn't put some seed out and the Maggies called for their biscuits as well.
Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2013

Girl Bear Photo Mat

This is a photo mat I have been playing with as I want to start tyring to sell these.
Another fabulous "My Scrap Chick" design made with all Stampin' Up! card stock inks and stamps.

I just love my Pazzles machine as I can cut just about any shape I like and this one is especially for Ronnie in Sorrel ,Tasmania who is a Grandma yet again to a beautiful little Granddaughter  "Ceana".
Congratulations to Grandma Ronnie and Mum and Dad ,Laura and Anthony.
I found this pretty paper and pearls in my stash and used Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink ink and stamp from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set.

Holiday Mini Christmas Ornament

I don't have any of the new dies and stamps to make the fabulous ornament that shows on the front of the new Holiday Mini Catalogue so I made up my own version.
I used Whisper White Card Stock,  the Ornament Punch for the bottom layer, the Blossom Punch (cut into sections) for the second layer, and the  rosette made with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch .
I actually stamped and embossed the punched pieces but it doesn't show in the photo.  I used a large pearl and some ribbon from my stash . Not too bad is it even if I say so myself.  Think I will have a go at a couple more.

Sorell Tasmania House Sit

Aren't these three just the cutest little things?  I think so any way and would love to take Buddie, Chillie and Peppie home with me when I go back to Brisbane.  They all have their own personalities and are so funny with their antics.   Sorell is a lovely little town  about a half hour from Hobart and I am staying  in a beautiful heritage home that was the Post Office in a previous life. Tasmania or what I have seen of it so far has spectacular scenery and the beaches are so natural and unspoilt - Just stunning.   I hope to be able to come back and have a good look round.

Thank You

A Thank You card I made and sent to Boris and Patricia thanking them for their wonderful hospitality and friendship on our recent trip to Maleny to celebrate Deanne and Tony's wedding.

Easter School Holidays

Ryan's scarecrow for his garden. Note the Stampin' Up punch and stamp used

Ryan came to the Island for a few days to spend with Ma and Pa. We had heaps of fun crafting, cooking and shopping. Boy Ma was sure tired after this visit as she missed her Ma naps in the afternoon.

A big jigsaw puzzle

Yummy cakes Ryan but you have to share with Pa.

Easter 2012

Spent a wonderful Easter in Maleny with our daughter Deanne and her husband Tony and his family.

Deanne and Tony where over from Amsterdam for a family get together to celebrate their recent marriage.  Had a super duper lunch at the Boat House,  Cottontree so I made some Easter favours for the table for the children and adults.
The whole Gang

Edens Landing Housesit

Spent a month house sitting in Edens Landing near Beenleigh in Brisbane looking after two big white Maremmas (Italian Sheep Dog) and a little black kitten, for Nick and Marilyn .
Their names Fred, Georgy and Missy.

This breed of dog amazed me as being a large dog, they are just so gentle ,laid back and so well behaved.  A real pleasure to spend time with. They are the dogs that spend all their time in the paddocks living with and protecting the flock and have a natural herding instinct.
While there got to know Marilyn's Aunt Dot who is just the nicest lady.  Hope I will go back sometime in the future to sit again.
